Deleting Your Madad Account
You can delete your Madad account at any time. Deletion is permanent: the account cannot be restored, and signing in again with the same number creates a new, empty account.
1. From inside the app
- Open the Madad app and go to My Account.
- Tap Delete Account at the bottom of the settings card.
- We send a confirmation code to your registered WhatsApp number.
- Enter the code. The account is deleted immediately.
2. By request
If the app is no longer on your phone, email support@madad-app.com or send a WhatsApp message to +963 95 585 0014 stating the number registered with Madad. We confirm the number is yours, then delete the account within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your name, phone number, email address, and profile photo.
- Your saved delivery addresses, wishlist, likes, reviews, and the stores you follow.
- Your contact requests to stores and your quote requests.
- The projects you created, with everything in them (their other members lose access to them), and the notes you wrote in other people’s projects.
- Your notifications and your device registration, so push notifications stop.
What stays, and why
- Your search and browsing history stays, detached from you: it no longer carries your name or number.
- Direct purchase orders stay, detached from your account, because they are also the supplier’s record of a completed sale. The name and number you wrote in the order remain in that record.
- If you had a store: the record that the store was removed stays, so that Madad never lists it again; and if you took over a store page Madad had prepared, the record of that handover (the name and number it was claimed with) stays as proof of who claimed it.
If you have a store
Your store is removed with your account: it is deleted with its products and works, its photos are erased, and Madad does not list it again. This applies whether you opened it yourself or Madad had listed it before you took it over.
Deleting some of your data without deleting the account
From inside the app you can delete, one by one: your saved addresses, your notifications, your contact requests, and your projects, their items and notes. A store account can also delete its products, their photos and documents, and its works, services, and branches. Search history cannot be deleted on its own; it is removed from you when the account is deleted.
